Tetra Tech, Inc. (NASDAQ:TTEK), a leading provider of high-end consulting and engineering services in water, environment, and sustainable infrastructure, announced today that the City of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, has awarded Tetra Tech a contract to provide engineering design and technical services for the first indirect potable reuse (IPR) project to be permitted within the State of Oklahoma.

Building upon Tetra Tech's initial IPR pilot study, Tetra Tech engineers and technical specialists will now design innovative IPR solutions to expand the Chickasaw Wastewater Treatment Plant's capacity by 15 percent. Tetra Tech will use advanced treatment processes to treat up to 50 percent of daily wastewater flows which will be redirected several miles upstream into the Caney River to be recaptured, retreated, and distributed through the City's water system during times of extreme drought.

"Tetra Tech is pleased to partner with the City of Bartlesville on this innovative project, the first indirect potable reuse facility in Oklahoma," said Dan Batrack, Tetra Tech Chairman and CEO. "We will use our Leading with Science® approach to deliver advanced water reuse solutions that help extend Bartlesville's water supply by up to 40 years and support the State of Oklahoma's forward-looking ‘Water for 2060' goals."
